Company History

C&O Window and Door Company - Since 1956

Built on Integrity. Proven Over Time.

For over 70 years, C&O Window and Door Company has served Pueblo and Southern Colorado with a focus on integrity, quality, and long term relationships. Founded in 1956, C&O has adapted with the industry while maintaining the standards that have sustained the company across three generations of family ownership

Founding

C&O Window and Door Co. was founded in 1956 by Angelo Coffee and Aldridge (Rose) O’Quin in Pueblo, Colorado with the intent to manufacture and install aluminum storm windows. Aldridge acquired Angelo’s share of the business in 1963, and the business name of C&O remained.

Second Generation

Aldridge and Rose were the principal owners and continued the manufacturing and installation of aluminum storm and sliding windows until Aldridge passed in 1977. Their youngest son, Dennis O’Quin, had been working in the business since the age of sixteen and was pursuing his degree at the University of Southern Colorado at the time of Aldridge’s death.

Dennis and his mother, Rose, decided to continue the business with a vision of expanding product lines and offerings beginning in 1978. Rose continued working in the business until she retired in 2006 at the age of 88.

Expansion Across Southern Colorado

Dennis purchased the business from Rose in 1983 and continued to grow C&O throughout Southern Colorado for both residential and commercial products and services. Dennis has over 50 years of industry experience, and his body of glazing work can be found throughout Pueblo and across Southern Colorado.

Although Dennis has retired, he continues to lend his knowledge and expertise to the C&O team and the construction community.

Third Generation Stewardship

Dennis’ youngest son, Nick O’Quin, purchased the business in 2021 and continues the family legacy into the third generation of ownership. Nick grew up around the business and has been working with the C&O team full time since 2010. Nick graduated from CSU Pueblo with a B.S. in Business Management and has a background in low voltage automation.

Nick’s focus is to build upon the work of previous generations while continuing to serve the Pueblo community and Southern Colorado.

How We Operate Today

For over 70 years, C&O has remained locally owned and accountable in Southern Colorado. That history shows up in how work is performed, how challenges are addressed, and how long-term relationships with builders and contractors are maintained.
